· Don't Go for "Meat Meal"
The meat meal is a big sin if you want your cat and dog to
be healthy. Yes, we want protein as the number one ingredient in the food but
this does not mean that it can include any type of meat. Whenever something
says meat meal, it means this meat is nothing but by-products which mostly
consist of dead animals and damaged organs. This is extremely unhealthy for
your pet. Just avoid it.
· Heavy Metals
Did you know that pet foods contain heavy metals sometimes?
It is a little hard to believe but yes it does have few. Commercial food has
been often pointed out for containing metals like mercury and lead. The only
solution to this problem is that you can either feed your pet with holistic
food or you can prepare the food at home.
· Nutrients
Most of the pet foods advertise about the nutrients that contain such as vitamins. These nutrients can also act as a poison. First of
all, the nutrients in the food are artificial and mostly are present in
excessive quantities which make food poisoning. Too much of anything is never
good. This mostly results in disturbing the digestive system of the pet.
· Go Through the Ingredients
This is the most important thing to do since you really need
to know what is inside the bag. First of all, the source of meat should be
identified such as lamb, chicken, duck etc. Most of them should be grains free food.
Most of these grains include corn which offers no such nutritional value. It is
fattening and can make your dog or cat obese resulting in a short life.
· Home Cooked Food
Home cooked food is heaven these days. There are so many
fallacies attached to this idea. The quality of food these days has led to this
idea of getting popularity. There are a number of recipes available online which
can be used for preparing the Dog Food at home. This food is full of the right
nutrients and is prepared in a clean and hygienic environment.
Picking the right food can always be a problem. There are so
many scams in the name of pet food that you have to be very careful. It is up
to you whether you want your pet to be healthy or not.
