Dry Dog Food Vs Wet Dog Food

The dog food is directly related to its health. Our dog depends on us to make the best choice of food on their behalf. As the pet food industry is increasing, there are many types of food. Picking up a dog food is difficult, which type is best dry or wet?
Let’s have a look at both types.

Dry Food:    Dry kibble food has some advantages over wet foods. Dry food is made of crunchy, dry kibble pieces. Dry food is most convenient food. Dry food takes longer to spoil. Dry food does not
require refrigeration after opening, so it can be left out for long period of time. If you feed your dog by dry dog formula, this may be beneficial to dog’s teeth because crunchy kibble can remove tartar from dog’s teeth as they chew. Dry food is affordable. Dry food is much cheaper than wet food. Dry food is easy to feed. Dry food is easily available on stores. Dry dog food is also available online on dog food store. These are the food with low moisture content. These foods are prepared by cooking the ingredients at a low temperature. Dry food includes flake foods (flake cereals), extruded foods (shaped pellets or kibbles) and biscuits.

Wet Food:     Most of the owner choose wet food for their dog because wet food is the most economical type of commercial dry food. These are the food with high moisture content. These foods are prepared by cooking the ingredients at a high temperature. Wet food includes cans, foil trays and pouches. This type of food can keep your dog healthy. Wet food is
made of proteins and fats, with few carbohydrates. These foods are packed in a can and are also known as canned food. Wet dog food is also available online on dog food store. Wet food formula has the highest water content and it is the softest type as compared to dry food. It is a good choice for dogs who are ill and have difficult in chewing due to dental problems. Some pet nutritionists believe that wet food is heavier than dry food. Wet dog food is more expensive as compared to dry food. Wet food spoil in a short period of time if left out of the refrigerator.

There is no single right or wrong way to feed your dog. Both types of food are best to feed your dog. It’s depends on you to choose the food of your dog that is healthy and suited to any medical condition he have.
If you feed your dog by wet food only, give him opportunities to crush on snacks that can help to clean his teeth. Likewise, dogs that are fed by dry food occasionally enjoy a delectably meaty treat. Balancing out the crunchy with yummy is one more way of providing the best care you can for your dog.
